Skillz Skool was founded by Chris Balmer. An experienced footballer & manager who turned his attention to obtaining his Football Association coaching badges in 2016, after he was unable to find any suitable classes locally for his then 2-year-old son (now 8 years old!).

His idea was to make football affordable, accessible and fun. Now in its 6th year Skillz Skool has seen 1000’s of kids enjoy football and many kids progress into local teams all whilst still bringing the fun factor to his classes!

Skillz Skool is backed by Litherland Athletic JFC, setup by Chris in 2019 to offer a pathway into Grassroots football & LAJFC now has 8 teams with over 75+ registered players. This partnership gives kids attending Skillz Skool a clear pathway into a local, well ran junior football team.
